Frequently Asked Questions
Who can stay at the house?
Primarily patients and adult family members working with the heart failure, transplantation, and artificial heart program at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). Other transplant operations and serious illnesses are supported as well as other hospitals as space allows. URMC social workers assist with availability.

What is the cost to stay at the house?
$40.00 per night, dropping to $30.00 on the fifth night and beyond. In cases of financial hardship there is a grant available to help defray the cost and is based on an individual's ability to pay.

How many rooms are available?
89 Rossiter Road has four bedrooms, each with their own private bath.

How do I make a reservation?
Reservations are taken Monday -Friday during Harbor House Business Hours between 9am-5pm. Interested parties should contact their assigned URMC social worker to make arrangements. Check-Ins are before 5:00pm weekdays, but in cases of emergency special arrangements are available.

Where do we park when we are staying at the house?
There is NO street parking at 89 Rossister Road. Limited parking is available at the house. Additional cars must park in the Strong Memorial Hospital ramp garage.

What are the features of the house?
Full laundry (2 washers and 2 driers). Two full kitchens. Cable television. Internet access. Computer available for guest use. 89 Rossiter Road is only two short blocks from the University of Rochester Medical Center.
