A Rochester Community Project of Caring

Harbor House of Rochester Inc. appreciates all donations that help us create a home-away-from-home for patients and their families who must travel to upstate New York for heart failure and transplant care. Below is a wish list if items and services we are in need of currently.

  • Laundry detergent
  • Lysol Spray Disinfectant
  • Bleach
  • Paper towels
  • Keurig - plain flavored coffee single cup
  • Regular coffee for a coffee pot
  • Sugar

Do you go to the farmers market???:

  • We would love some fresh fruit: Bananas, melons, apples, strawberries, etc.

General Household items:

  • 5-6 foot step ladder
  • Small DVD players (2)
  • Heavy duty coat hangars (heavy enough for coats)
  • Wooden coat rack

Bed and bath items:

  • Blankets: twin (4) and queen (1)
  • Bathmats, white or cream (8)

kitchen/laundry items

  • Crockpot
  • Standing paper towel holder, brushed silver (1)
  • Folding clothes rack

recurring needs:

  • Bar soap - like Dial, Lever 2000, Dove, etc.
  • Toiletries (small sample sizes are best)
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Napkins
  • Hand sanitizer (any size)

Miscellaneous:

  • Magazine subscriptions
  • Grocery gift cards
  • Restaurant gift certificates
  • Sporting event tickets
  • DVDs (new or used)
  • Parking passes for URMC parking garage

Groceries (recurring):

  • Keurig One cup coffee refills (regular and decaf)

Winter is far away, but...:

  • We are looking for someone to donate plowing our driveway--if we get more than one person, we could do it by the month?  Can you help??

Services:

  • Volunteers interested in cooking a meal for 4-6 people
  • Plumber interested in volunteering their services or offering a reduced rate when issues arise in the house
  • Volunteers to staff house 3-4 hour shifts weekdays and weekends
  • Lawn maintenance
  • Driveway maintenance
  • Handyman services
