Harbor House of Rochester leaps into spring with big plans! Staff and board members have been busy meeting with local foundations and applying for major grants. HHR secured $10,000 from the Davenport-Hatch Foundation to replace the roof, and Finger Lakes Performing Provider System sent a desktop and two laptops in the mail. Volunteers clean the house through weekly commitments, and HHR hosts university clubs for deep cleaning sessions. In the event pipeline, the fifteenth annual … And the BEAT Goes On! Fundraiser this September promises to keep HHR staff busy planning a splendid evening gala. Looking ahead, HHR hopes to develop a referral network among rural clinics that send patients to Rochester for major treatments. In and above all the bustle, HHR works according to its mission of housing families that come to the Rochester in support of their hospitalized loved ones. We’re a small house, hoping to expand when we can.
