A woman stands in front of a table full of hearts.Michaela is the most recent addition to Harbor House’s staff. Her favorite part of the House Coordinator role is conversing with guests. She also enjoys matching the special skills of volunteers to special projects. She is incredibly grateful for the support the community shows for Harbor House!

Michaela graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May 2023. She is a yearlong artist-in-residence at Flower City Arts Center in the Print Arts and Book Arts Department where she teaches book binding classes and makes graphic narratives. Prior to studying writing, Michaela graduated from University of Rochester with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a Take Five Scholarship in American Race Relations.

A fun fact about Michaela: She is the fifth of sixth siblings!

The photo of Michaela at the Adopt-a-Day table was taken by social media volunteer Jackson Staal at the Fourteenth Annual Gala …And the BEAT Goes On!

psst! Save the date for the Fifteen Annual Gala on September 28, 2024 at Rochester Museum and Science Center.
