Harbor House of Rochester has recently undergone a significant transformation: a complete roof replacement. Workers from Harvey Strassner Contracting ripped off four layers of shingles to reveal tongue and grooved hardwood underneath. This is the first time the shingles have been removed since the house was built in the 1940s.
The hardwood was a pleasant surprise, as less plywood was required, reducing costs. The durability of the hardwood ensures a solid foundation for the new roof, promising longevity and resilience against the elements.
The funds for this replacement were generously provided by the Davenport-Hatch Foundation. Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for being part of the Harbor House community!
